The lighting of the large LCD display is automatically activated by a photodiode in dark surroundings. On the back of the device there is also a bright LED flashlight for illuminating the measurement area. A multi-colored LED bar is located above the display. Depending on the active measuring function, it lights up green during the continuity test, red when a voltage is detected in "Non-Contact Voltage Detection" (NCV) mode, yellow when measuring large capacities or flashes red when the phase is detected in "Single-Pole Phase Testing" (LIVE) mode.

Also for calibration and verification of microphones in audio technology, you need a sound level calibrator, which is designed to produce several sound pressure levels at a fixed frequency characteristic. This calibrator has two switchable calibration steps. The level “94dB”, which corresponds to a sound pressure of 1 Pascal, and the step “114dB”, which corresponds to a sound pressure of 10 Pascal.
